How to RDP into your Windows VPS
Set the Windows password from the panel's VNC console, then connect with Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) using the Administrator account to reach your Fusiora Windows VPS.
RDP (Remote Desktop) is the usual way to manage a Windows VPS with a graphical interface. Before using it you must set the Windows password from the panel's VNC console. Here is the full process on your Fusiora VPS.
1. Log in to the control panel
Sign in to the Fusiora control panel.
2. Open your server
Select the Windows server you want to connect to and click Manage.
3. Find the IP address
You will find your VPS IP on the right side of the panel. Note it down — you will need it for RDP.
4. Open the VNC console
Go to the Options tab and click Browser VNC. If you do not see the button, click Enable VNC first. VNC lets you control the server as if you were sitting in front of it — handy the first time, before RDP is set up.
Note: VNC access runs over an unencrypted connection. Use it only for this initial setup, then manage the server over RDP.
5. Set the Windows password
In the VNC window, Windows asks you to set a password for the Administrator account. Choose one and note it down — this is the password you will use for RDP.
6. Open Remote Desktop Connection
On your own computer open the app called Remote Desktop Connection (search mstsc in the Start menu).
7. Enter the VPS IP
In the Computer field, type your VPS IP address.
8. Enter your credentials
Use Administrator as the username and the Windows password you just set.
9. Accept the certificate warning
If a certificate warning appears, click Yes to continue.
10. Done
You are now connected to your Windows VPS over RDP.
